2 out of 5 stars several problems   June 10, 2005
I first bought the case for my m505. Stylus fell out at approx 3 months, breaking. I've now gone thru 3 styli. Case stopped latching closed at about 4 months. I also had the problem with the case activating the palm, but shaved the inside with a scalpel solving the problem. Poorly designed. You'd think they'd try it out before they sold it.

2 out of 5 stars Good for about 4-5 months   March 19, 2004
I had no problem with this case up until now (4-5 monts after the purchase date). The plastic wore out and now I cant keep this case closed. It does close but opens at the slightest disturbance. Given the price of this unit, the closing mechanism could have been designed a bit better.

4 out of 5 stars Not perfect but it offers great protection for your PDA   January 14, 2004
I just purchased my SECOND n500 Series Hard Case. The first one was battered, dented, broken. Just to give you an idea of how often I dropped it, the old case had at least 10 dents in it. The last drop completely broke the case, BUT MY PDA STILL LOOKS BRAND NEW, thanks to quality and strength of this product.

And, I'm happy to report that my new case appears to be even stronger than the first.

Unfortunately, it's not perfect. For one thing, the hinge that the secures the PDA to the case only allows 90-degree movement. So when you recharge your PDA, the case gets in the way. I've had to tape the charger to my desk so that the case will hang over the edge; you can also set the charger on a box. Another little sore point is that there are no pockets for memory cards. There is a credit card pocket, but these don't fit in very well. But these are minor gripes when compared to the protection this case provides for your PDA. All things considered, it's a great product and I highly recommend it.

I might also add that I bought mine from PerformancePDA, one of Amazon's third-party vendors. The price was fantastic, with fast delivery, and superb customer service. And, yes, it's really truly an authentic Palm case. (To get to these venders, click on the "used & new" link below the picture of the case.)

2 out of 5 stars Fine ... For 5 months   December 10, 2003
The hard case is nice (but heavy) and I had no problems for 6 months. Then for seemingly no reason the latch on the case now will not closed.

I never had a problem with the case turning the palm on and draining the battery. The stylus never falls out. I just can close it now. Pretty annoying given the cost. Of course I don't have the packaging (who would keep it for 6 months?) so I can't return it anywhere. Bummer.

4 out of 5 stars Super Secure   December 6, 2003

I've used this case for a year with my Palm m515. It's extremely secure. It seems almost air tight. I've had no problems with it turning the Palm on when I close it or with the stylus falling out. It's like armor for my Palm and better than any other leather or nylon case I've had in the past.

The only problem is that in order to hot synch my Palm on the cradle without removing the case I had to set my cradle on top of a small block so the left side of the case has room to swing down. If not for this design flaw, I'd give it five stars.
