V220 works, enough said January 6, 2009 This mouse is a five-star product. Enough said. Do not be misled by always superior geeks. Elsewhere, one writes: I found the mouse to be overly sensitive, even after changing the mouse configurations in Control Panel. The Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is more precise,he/she writes and concludes: The Logitech v220 is a little bit more ergonomic on the hands, but not by much Well, I use it for my traveling laptop and most recently I have attached it to my new mini-mini-mini-laptop, my baby-computer. It works great. If its receiver slightly sticks out from your USB port, well, everything will. Only gadgets with Bluetooth technology will not. BTW, I use a small USB hub, flexible; to it is attached this mouse AND also my wireless/national broadband USB modem (phone card.) (I suspect that overwhelming majority of us do not use our little notebooks, net-books, mini-notebooks(baby-computers) for any major NASA or global warming predictions/projects or medical research, or weapons testing. I do not need/use my baby-computer while working with huge raw files/photographs in Photoshop CS3.) So, perhaps what is overly sensitive is in the eyes of beholder. Myself, I do not need to change the mouse configurations in Control Panel. V220 is small, works great and if needed -- it fits in my pocket. That is enough. If you need one, just buy it.
Great Product January 6, 2009 Great product, works great, and unlike some wireless devices, I have no problems with connectivity. The battery usage is minimal. I purchased this product refurbished, and it looks/functions like new! I would recommend this mouse to anyone looking for a good wireless laptop mouse.
V220 RULES January 3, 2009 THIS IS A LIGHT BUT MEDUIM SIZED MOUSE. IT HAS TO MANY FEATURES TO LIST. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A MOUSE THAT WORKS, BUY THIS ONE. SIMPLE TO HOOKUP AND AFTER GOING TO A WEBSITE THEY GIVE YOU, A SIMPLE FREE DOWNLOAD ADDS MANY MORE OPTIONS. I HAVE A OLD VERSION BY LOGITECH ON MY DESKTOP PC AND AFTER MANY YEARS STILL WORKS GREAT. SO DON'T HEASITATE TO BUY THIS ONE! (REALLY IT WORKS GREAT!)
Laptop essential December 30, 2008 This is a great mouse at a great price! I have had my v220 for over a year now and no problems. I recently got another for my sis who has vista and it worked just fine with no need to install drivers. Just plug and use! The kind folks at Logitech also included a battery. And let me stress how long the battery life lasts...I changed my battery after 8 months!
I thought the price would have come down since I paid a little less a year ago for the same mouse, but it is definitely worth it.
Very good for the price, good buy December 30, 2008 I picked this thing up at Target today for 20 bucks and so far I love it. I wanted one because I can't stand using the trackpad on my macbook, not that its bad I just hate touchpads. This is very cheap, wireless, small and compact, and quick to install.
All that said, I do have a problem with the scroller, I turned the sensitivity all the way up and it is still kinda sluggish. This isn't too big of a deal because I might be able to up it more or just get used to it.
If you buy you will be happy to have it, even if its just for a backup.
